November Press releaseNew Designs and Antique Reinventions
The Dauphine Boat Bed carries its sleeper into a sea of dreams. Designed for myself, remembering an antique
carved cherry 'bateau lit' sold a few seasons ago, others think it would be perfect for younger ladies. We are all
royalty at heart!
The upholstery displays textured linen velvet outside and lustrous damask inside, like a crusty outer shell and a
pearly interior. The headboard slopes for a cozy reading place.
Allow 6 weeks for custom production, prices depend on finish/size, and range from $2400 to $4200.
The single antique chair is a simple charming Louis XV shape with a coloured
glaze-over-wood finish, costly Gainsborough cotton damask upholstery and
Brunschwig gimp. $580
Add this small burlwood
Baker table from an
earlier decade, and
a corner becomes a
vignette! $420
The trolley, hand forged
to our design, is finished
to yours in gold or silver
gilding. $650
This vintage settee received careful hand
painting and gilding, then ormolu rosettes
and bellflowers. The upholstery rebuild
was finished with finest silk/cotton damask
in shades of beryl to complete its make-over.
$2850
