Annees Trente Collection

Cignet Armoire and Bedside Table
Lithe armoire-over-dresser offers volumes of storage with grace. Our signature taupe stain over maple finish and curvaceous legs with faux ivory boots place these bedroom pieces clearly into the Annees Trente collection inspired by Parisian design of the 1930's.

The upper cabinet has a brass bar set to accommodate trousers and garment bags and a side shelf for handbags or shoes. Deep and wide drawers with porcelain handles hold everything else. Overall dresser height 89", width 42" and depth 40". $3000. The Cignet Bedside table confirms the styling details of the armoire, 24 ½" high, 24" wide and 16" deep. $850.

Cubist Collection

The new Annees Trente Pieces draw from the school of art know as Cubism, developed by Braque and Picasso between 1908 and 1930. These artists broke away from presenting the scene as you see it. In their compositions components are arranged according to their intrinsic values, and from numerous vantage points around the subject, showing the surfaces of objects as planes connected to the surrounding world.

The new Picasso chair and table begin a furniture exploration of spatial relationships. The lines are truly curved to follow the reclining arm, cubed to parallel the surfaces of the surrounding walls and floors. The materials are unquestionably pure (wood, stone) and unbeatably durable (ultrasuede). The colours are high contrast ebony and stone white. They present remarkable value: the origin of both design and fabrication is here in our Toronto showroom and workroom.

Annees Trente Collection Chairs

The slim tapered front leg and braced reverse-curve to the back identify the Parisian silhouette of 1930 as much as the parchment-tone finish popular in that era. These lightweight chairs of solid wood measure 23 '' wide, 23' deep and 34' high.

Annees Trente Collection Side Chair

The armless Annees Trente Chair is a chameleon. In the living room it's a slipper chair, in the dining room it's a wide comfortable dining chair. The parchment finish and well-shaped legs evoke Paris in the Thirties. In linen/cotton upholstery at $680, in one of 60 colours of ultrasuede or linen-look velvet at $730, this is affordable luxury. Seat width 25' and depth 21'. Allow three weeks.
